What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable medicines that add volume and shape to aging, lax skin to eliminate lines and wrinkles and fill in hollow contours. At Women Elite Care, Inc., Dr. Ardalan offers a variety of these fillers, including

• Juvederm®
• Restylane®
• Belotero®

These products use a compound called hyaluronic acid to smooth lines and wrinkles and add volume to an aging face. Hyaluronic acid is produced by your own body, but your levels reduce as you age. When expertly applied by Dr. Ardalan, these dermal fillers replace what you’ve lost, so you look more youthful.

What is Botox®?

Botox is a highly purified toxin that relaxes the facial muscles that cause wrinkles and fine lines. Botox is particularly effective between the eyebrows, on horizontal forehead lines, and on crow’s feet at the sides of your eyes.

Botox injections are a temporary way to achieve a softer complexion. Treatments last about three months, but you can receive retreatments regularly to maintain your look.

What facial rejuvenation treatments are available?

Facial rejuvenation treatments are a key offering at Women Elite Care, Inc. These include:

• Chemical peels: involves the application of chemicals to your face to encourage exfoliation and the exposure of fresh, new skin
• Microdermabrasion: involves the use of a special device equipped with an abrasive tip to exfoliate your outer layer of skin

Dr. Ardalan evaluates your look and offers guidance as to which of these procedures will best help you achieve your aesthetic goals. She may also offer platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy to restore a healthy facial glow. PRP involves a small blood draw from your arm.

This blood sample is spun down in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, which are rich in growth factors and other healing substances. The PRP is then applied to your face to boost its health and appearance.

What laser treatments are available?

At Women Elite Care, Inc. Dr. Ardalan offers aesthetic and vaginal treatments with the Rohrer laser. This fractional CO2 laser is effective on skin affected by:

• Wrinkles and fine lines

The Rohrer laser can also restore aging vaginal tissue. In just three five-minute treatments, the laser stimulates the tissue of the vagina to boost collagen production. As a result, symptoms often present in menopause subside, including vaginal dryness, painful intercourse, and vaginal itching.
